The sixth annual Harmony Bridges Conference had one objective in mind — acceptance. The aim of the one-day, student-focused conference was to provide students with the tools to promote cooperation among their peers, parents, and the greater community. Organizers said it was important for young people to realize that neither the colour of your skin, or your mother tongue, or your size or shape should determine your worth. Your worth should be determined by who you are as a person, and how you treat others. Harmony Bridges is a conference designed to provide participants with a forum where they learn how to promote positive relations and communication among the many cultures in their school and their community.
