Helping with Homework

Intermediate – Senior Students Grades 7-12

The Ontario Ministry of Education has designated and accredited The Independent Learning Centre as their official distance education provider.  The free online one-on-one tutoring by certified Ontario math teachers is making a difference in the lives of students struggling with mathematics.

The site includes:

Pre-recorded tutoring sessions available by topic
Inter-active tutorials
A full mathematics glossary and calculator 

The free math tutoring portion of the website is available Sunday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30p.m. All other aspects of the website are available at any time.

Online Math Support
The online resources are organized by grade groupings. These resources help students build skills and resilience and can be used with a parent/guardian or independently at home.

Where I Excel in Math
This resource provides unlimited practice problems that are linked to the Ontario Curriculum. Activities are categorized by subject and operational skills.

Mathies
This free website offers games, learning tools, activities, and additional supports for families.

Khan Academy
This free website links to the Ontario Curriculum. There is a choice of instructional level and math content.

Math is Fun
Clear definitions and explanations of math terms and procedures are available on this website.

In order to register for this site you will need your OEN(Ontario Education Number) which can be found on any of your report cards
