Requests to Conduct Research in the Board
The OCDSB recognizes the valuable contribution of research to effective decision-making processes. Part of the mandate of the Quality Assurance Division is to assist in the coordination of research activities for the school district.
One of the key strategies that allows us to successfully manage the many requests from external agencies/organizations to conduct research in our schools is the Ottawa-Carleton Research Advisory Committee. This joint committee with the Ottawa Catholic School Board meets multiple times throughout the school year to review research proposals that require access to our students and staff.
The attached 2011-2012 Research Guidelines and Application
have been prepared to assist those who are asking for board participation in research projects and surveys.
