 Literacy Basic Skills Program

Are you interested in looking for a job, but have little work experience? Are you interested in getting your high school diploma so that you can go to college? This is a program that will help newcomers who have good listening and speaking skills but need help with reading and writing. We offer the following:

1. Academic Upgrading, which prepares adult newcomers for high school. Earn up to 26 credits in partnership with the Adult Credit Program as you prepare for high school.
Preparation for HS Credit Program (including PLAR)
• Academic Upgrading Program 
Preparation for Senior High School English (starting Jan 27, 2012)

2. Workplace Basic Skills offers training in the areas of:
• Early Childhood Education 
• Home Helper Training 
• Childcare Assistant 
• Personal Support Worker/Healthcare Training

3. Adaptive Learning Program offers workplace training services to adults with developmental disabilities.
