Secondary Programs

Our District has a long and rich history of providing a wide array of programs. We operate 26 secondary schools including the Adult High School, and 5 secondary alternate program sites.

Using our Online Secondary School Course Guide students can review the courses offered at their secondary school. Staff is on hand to help you choose. Our principals, vice-principals, teachers, and Guidance staff are committed to guiding, supporting, and helping you achieve your full potential.

The Ontario Secondary School Diploma requirements include 30 credits (18 of which are compulsory courses), 40 hours of community involvement, and successful completion of the EQAO Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test or the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Course.

There are so many pathways to the future. We encourage you to achieve your full potential. Find out more about program pathways, be it apprenticeship, college, university, and/or work.

Students entering grade 9 who have been identified as Gifted will have the option of choosing between two secondary schools. For more information about the gifted program please visit our special education gifted program site.
