Your guidance counsellor will use the Ontario eLearning Consortium (OeLC) registration website to register students. Students will need the permission of their principal to take an online course.

These online courses are part of the day school programme. That means the course is part of your timetable. Unless there are extenuating circumstances, a student may take no more than 4 courses per semester.

e.g. 3 in-school courses and 1 online course
= 4 day school courses.

Contact your guidance counsellor right away
to register for online courses.

*CHV2OT and GLC2OT will be offered on a continuous entry basis, accepting registration until mid-May, 2012 as space permits. This flexibility would allow a student up 2 semesters to complete either or both courses. To maintain their enrollment in either of these courses, students would be expected to log in, participate, and complete course activities on a regular basis.

**IDC4UT will be offered as a Peer Tutoring course supporting students in eLearning courses. The ideal peer tutoring candidate will be mature, show good judgement, and must:

  • have successfully completed at least 1 online course;
  • be recommended by their home school

ICD4U Special Note: If a student takes 2 courses coded IDC4U (e.g., Link Crew and IDC4U - Peer Tutoring), the second course would be interpreted as a repeat rather than an additional credit. Please contact Kimberly.Webster@ocdsb.ca for more information if this is your situation.
