7-12 Grade Configuration Proposals
We recognize that the proposed change from a 9-12 grade configuration to a 7-12 grade configuration at A.Y.Jackson Secondary School and Earl of March Secondary School has rasied concerns for some parents particularly in terms of student safety and programming; for both grade 7 and 8 students as well as existing secondary students.
We hope that the following information will provide parents with additional information on the various grade configurations. We will continue to update this site as new information becomes available.
* Currently the OCDSB is embarking on the Secondary School Review. There will be a sub-committee of the review that will examine various school configuration models. The terms of reference for this sub-committee will be posted on the website once they are approved.
It should be noted that any plans implemented for the OCDSB will be specific to the needs of our students and the schools involved. Additional information, as it becomes available, will be posted on the OCDSB website.
* Transformational Recommendations 7-12
* School Configuration Working Group Information (Terms of Reference for this sub-committee will be posted once it is approved).
* Upper Canada Distric School Board (www.ucdsb.on.ca)
