What do Student Trustees do?

They hold very similar positions to their adult trustee counterparts. Both sit on Boards of Education across the province and make decisions that affect local education. The major difference between the two is who they represent: Student Trustees represent you the students, while adult trustees represent taxpayers.

Student Trustees are also responsible for linking the Board to its students: communicating events in the Board to the student body and gathering student input on issues the Board is facing. Student Trustees have the potential to improve the quality of your education and they want to hear from you.

Your student trustees for this school year are Kareem Ibrahim and Bill Lin.

Have a question or a concern you want to share with them? Send them a tweet @OCDSB_Students.

Want to learn more about what they are doing? Check out their monthly video updates on our YouTube channel or on the Student Trustee video page.
