The Ontario Secondary Schools Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) has announced that its members will conduct a full-day withdrawal of service on Wednesday, December 4 if a new agreement is not reached before then. The OCDSB remains hopeful that a settlement will be reached.
We will provide an update to parents on the impact this could have on secondary and elementary students. Our primary focus in contingency planning for strike action is the health and safety of students. However, we encourage parents to do some contingency planning in case strike action occurs.
At the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, the OSSTF represents secondary teachers; secondary occasional teachers; office, clerical and technical staff; custodial and maintenance staff; educational assistants; early childhood educators; adult education workers; and professional support staff.
