The Emily Carr Middle School community is getting ready to celebrate the school’s 50th anniversary this spring. Current students, families, alumni, and staff are invited to attend a celebration featuring a meet-and-greet, special presentations and guest speakers, and an opportunity to tour the school by visiting decade-themed instructional areas.

Admission: Tickets are available online for $5. Deadline to register is May 1.

Since opening in 1973, Emily Carr Middle School has been a pillar of the Blackburn Hamlet community – raising money for local charities, contributing to community events, and being a hub of learning for young people.
In turn, the school has been enriched by the generations of students and staff who have walked its halls. Today, Emily Carr Middle School welcomes 337 students from grade 6 to 8 and offers the English and Early French Immersion programs.
We are very excited to bring together past and current students and staff at our 50th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday May 25th. Over the last five decades, Emily Carr MS has played an important role in Blackburn Hamlet and its surrounding school community.
