Agincourt Public School’s Heritage Committee has created many opportunities for students to celebrate and learn about the diverse identities within their school community. Throughout the year, this dedicated team of students and staff collaborates on engaging displays and announcements for cultural heritage celebrations, religious holy days, and other dates of significance.
The bulletin boards feature vibrant student artwork, informative writeups, multilingual resources, and even some interactive activities. The displays provide a platform for students to see their identities reflected in the school environment, sparking meaningful conversations both in the classroom and at home.
The displays and announcements are a collaborative effort, showcasing students’ learning, contributions from families, and resources shared by the OCDSB’s Equity team. By highlighting the rich cultures within the school, the Heritage Committee fosters a welcoming atmosphere and promotes a sense of pride and belonging.
