After High School

What’s next? Post-Secondary Pathways

What happens when the graduation cap has been thrown, the graduation parties are a distant memory and high school is finally over?

Students need to think about their future as they make their way through high school. Do you have plan? There's no right or wrong answer – it will be different for every student.

There are four main pathways to consider—apprenticeship, college, university and going directly to work. Each provides helpful characteristics and skills that will be needed in the future job market.

It's important for students to come to a decision regarding their goals and objectives. A self-assessment of skills, interests and abilities is a good place to start.  Your future begins with you.
