Stress Lessons: From Stressed Out to Chilled Out

Many teens are feeling stressed today. Helping young people identify and manage their stress is key to building essential life skills, and to promote positive social and emotional development.

Interested in learning more about what you can do to manage stress and build resilience and positive coping skills? Join us this summer as we explore “Stress Lessons: From Stressed out to Chilled Out” for Students in Grades 7 to 9.

  • recognize the signs and symptoms of stress
  • understand what stress “feels” like
  • identify stressors and their impact
  • see the upside of stress
  • develop/implement coping and problem-solving strategies
  • foster an increased sense of well-being

The program consists of six sessions facilitated by OCDSB mental health professionals.

Sessions will be held on:

Date: Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 6th – July 22nd and from August 10th – 26th

Time: 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Open to all students entering Grade 7, 8 or 9 in September 2021.

Each registrant will be contacted by one of the facilitators to discuss program details and share links to join the session.
