Seeking Community Representatives: Special Education Advisory Committee

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is seeking to appoint up to three community representatives, who have an interest in issues related to exceptional children, to sit on the Board’s Special Education Advisory Committee. 


The Special Education Advisory Committee meets monthly to consider and make recommendations to the Board on special education programs and services to exceptional children. If you are interested in serving on the Committee, please complete the online application form. Online applications must be received by 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2022.  


To be eligible for nomination you must be a public school supporter living within the city of Ottawa. Employees of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board are not eligible to apply. One appointment will be effective from October 1, 2022 until November 14, 2022 with an option to extend the term to November 14, 2026. Two appointments will be effective from November 15, 2022 to November 14, 2026.
