
The last few years have been stressful for both children and youth. Teaching young people to identify and deal with stress in healthy ways is key to building essential life skills, and to promote positive social and emotional development.
Interested in learning more about what you can do to manage stress and build resilience and positive coping skills? Join us this summer as we explore “Stress Lessons: From Stressed out to Chilled Out” for Students in Grades 7 to 9.
- Recognize the signs and symptoms of stress
- Understand what stress “feels” like
- Identify stressors and their impact
- See the upside of stress
- Develop/implement coping and problem-solving strategies
- Foster an increased sense of well-being
The program consists of six sessions facilitated by OCDSB mental health professionals.
Sessions will be held on:
Date: Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 12th – July 28th and from August 9th – 25th
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Open to all OCDSB students entering Grade 7, 8 or 9 in September 2022.
Each registrant will be contacted by one of the facilitators to discuss program details and share links to join the session.
