The Board of Trustees Thanks Camille Williams-Taylor for Four Years of Leadership

The Board of Trustees would like to express its deepest thanks to Director of Education and Secretary of the Board, Camille Williams-Taylor, for her dedication to the students of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.

Throughout her time, Camille has championed respect, diversity, and inclusion in every aspect of her work. Whether it was her visits to schools and classrooms where she met with, listened to, and engaged students and staff; or in the Boardroom guiding trustees to make informed and educated decisions - her impact on this district is noticeable and commendable.

When she joined the Board as the Director of Education, no one expected the challenges she would face over the next four years. Camille has provided incredible leadership through these difficult times. Together with the senior team she assembled, the OCDSB has overcome challenges with a commitment to supporting students, staff and our community. It has not been easy work. As Director, she has had to carry the weight of responsibility for decisions that could not possibly make everyone satisfied. And yet through it all, it was obvious that her commitment to the community, to student learning and well-being has never wavered.

Camille is returning to her home district; the Durham District School Board and we wish her every success and hope that she will continue to push forward her important goals and share her vision for equity and inclusivity.
