Every year, people around the world take part in Earth Hour to raise awareness about climate change. On Friday, March 24, 2023 OCDSB schools are welcome to take part in an Earth Hour challenge from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (times may vary depending on each school’s schedule). Schools can participate by turning off lights and other electronic devices that are not required for the hour in order to bring awareness to climate change.
If your school participates, you can share your activities and pictures on social media or by using the OCDSB’s secure environmental educators networking platform, The Sustainability Journal. Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions.
Those looking to take part in Earth Hour at home can turn off their lights and electronics on Saturday, March 25th from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
