Hello Students,

October 24-28: Media Literacy Week

Media Literacy Week (MLW) is a chance to learn more about how to stay safe online, think critically about what we see and read in the media, learn what types of websites we can trust, and more. There’s a different theme for each day of the week: Use, Understand, Engage, Access, and Verify, and MediaSmarts’ website covers them through games, workshops, tip sheets, and more. Take a few minutes to look at the website and enhance your media literacy.

Working Together to Prevent COVID-19 Transmission

Information provided in Ottawa Public Health’s most recent COVID-19 Snapshot shows that levels of COVID-19 in Ottawa remain high. In this video, OPH says that "If you haven't been wearing a mask in indoor and/or crowded public spaces lately, this is the time to start again." Please also continue screening for symptoms of COVID-19, stay up-to-date on vaccines, and stay home when sick.
