Congratulations 2021 Graduates!

In Continuing Education, it is our goal to support lifelong learning for students of all ages. Thank you for putting your trust in us to do so. All of our graduates, many of you who are new to the country, have been able to achieve great things while juggling the demands of work, family life, as well as a pandemic. You have proven yourselves to be courageous, hardworking, and highly motivated individuals.

Our secondary graduates have worked hard to receive their Ontario Secondary School Diploma, or the Secondary School Graduation Diploma. They have written PLAR assessments, earned credits. They worked in a variety of careers, earned Cooperative Education placements, took Night School courses, and more. For many graduates this diploma will lead to a new career, apprenticeship, or the opportunity to pursue a new direction in education or at work.

Students in the Adaptive Learning program engaged in a range of employment-related learning and literacy activities. They participate in work settings to gain workplace and essential skills. Through this program they prepare themselves for independence, employment or volunteer work in the community.

Students in the Literacy and Basic Skills program come to this program to gain experience and skills to prepare them for work or future education. Graduates from our Literacy and Basic Skills Program have worked to complete a variety of different courses such as the Child Care Assistant course, Certificates for Employment course, and the PSW/Healthcare Preparation course. Our students in these courses will move on to continue their education, and to gain employment in their respective fields.

Whatever path you chose to take, our hope for you going forward is that you will have a profound impact on our community and world. Though we may not be able to gather in person this year, that doesn’t diminish your great accomplishment. You have persevered through these challenging times to complete your programs, and we are very proud of what you have achieved.

Congratulations again graduates!

Principal of Continuing Education and Outdoor Education
