OCDSB Announces New Additions to Senior Team

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is pleased to announce two new additions to our senior team for the upcoming school year.


A.J. Keene and Kristin Riddell will assume the roles of Superintendent of Education. 

A.J. KeeneA.J. Keene - Superintendent of Education: A.J. Keene is a graduate of University of Windsor in 1993 and Lakehead University Faculty of Education in 1994. He earned a Master of Education: Curriculum Studies at the University of Toronto in 2006. A.J. was an administrator with Lakehead District School Board for 15 years including a central role as the Early Years and Program Principal, and also worked for the Ministry of Education developing math resources for the Guides to Effective Instruction in Mathematics. He has been a Superintendent of Education with Lakehead District School Board for the past four years, most recently as the Board Math Lead.

 Kristin RiddellKristin Riddell - Superintendent of Education: Over Kristin Riddell's 26-year career in education she has held various roles as teacher, department head, vice-principal, principal, system principal, and superintendent. A lifelong learner, Kristin holds a Master’s in Education from Western University and a recent Human Rights for Education Professionals Osgoode Hall Law School. As a superintendent at the Renfrew County District School Board, she oversaw 7-12 Curriculum, Student Success, Co-Op, Dual Credits, OYAP, SHSM, Math Lead, Environmental, International Education and Rethink at Secondary among other responsibilities. She is thrilled to return to the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, where she began her teaching career.
