May 17, 2023 is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia

The International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT) is recognized each year on May 17th, raising awareness about the discrimination, violence, and stigma the 2SLGBTQ+ community continues to face.

This year’s theme, “Together Always: United in Diversity” aims to promote the human rights rights of 2SLGBTQ+ people and encourage respect, equality and justice for all. We all have an important role to play in creating safe and inclusive spaces in our schools and communities. By acknowledging IDAHOBIT, we can support one another and contribute to building a more equitable and accepting society.
