At a Board Meeting on March 28, 2023, the OCDSB’s Board of Trustees approved the revisions and updates made to Policy P.029.SCO Field Trips. These changes are the result of internal feedback from the Board and feedback from the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) community.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the OCDSB community for their honest and significant feedback. Each and every submission was reviewed, coded, and considered in our revision of the updated and now approved policy document. The procedure that accompanies this policy will be completed and made publicly available by the end of the year.
It is important to note that policies are dynamic and can always be altered, as they are enacted and tested in varying contexts. Important questions related to how policies are read and interpreted, the environments they enter, and the motivations of their enactment should continuously be considered and assessed.
