2024 Valuing Voices - Identity Matters Student Survey April 11-26, 2024

2024 Valuing Voices - Identity Matters Student Survey April 11-26, 2024

The 2024 Valuing Voices - Identity Matters Student Survey collects information about our student population and their experiences at school.

Your participation matters.

We want to better understand OCDSB students and support their learning, safety and well-being.

A student’s identity can affect their experiences at school and whether they feel safe, welcome and valued for who they are. Collecting this information will allow us to better design programs and supports to address issues including bullying, mental health and student achievement.

The survey will have two parts:

  • Demographic data: Including questions about language, Indigenous identity, ethnicity, race, faith/creed, gender, sexual orientation, and ability.
  • School climate data: Including questions about feelings of safety, engagement and well-being

Who can complete the survey?

  • Parents/caregivers of students in Kindergarten through grade 6 can complete one survey per child.
  • Students in grades 7-12 can complete the survey during class time at school.
  • Participation is voluntary and confidential.
  • Surveys will be available in multiple languages.

  • The survey can be completed between April 11th and April 26th.
