In April, the OCDSB will be launching our 2024 Valuing Voices: Identity Matters Student Survey. Collecting this information will allow us to better address issues including bullying, safety, mental health, learning and student achievement. More detailed information about the survey will be shared after the March Break.
The 2024 survey is designed based on past identity and school climate surveys.
The information gathered from students, parents and caregivers in previous surveys resulted in a number of specific actions, including:
- The development of school improvement strategies with a focus on bullying, safety and mental health
- The ability to better identify student achievement gaps and boost supports for student learning
- The creation of new strategies to work with parents/caregivers, educators and community partners
Learn more about how the data collected helps us prevent bullying and promote safe and inclusive schools.
The survey will be shared with parents/caregivers and students April 11th to May 10th, 2024.
