Wednesday, January 31, 2024 is a Professional Activity (PA) Day for OCDSB secondary school staff. There will be no classes for secondary students on this day.
This PA Day focuses on key District Priorities: literacy, numeracy and exploration of pathways for all students. School staff will attend in-person and participate in presentations, group discussions, and collaborative activities facilitated by school administrators.

Through an exploration of a diagnostic tool, as well as the High Impact Instructional Practices, participants will:
- explore understandings about knowing the learner in order to deepen their literacy and numeracy skills;
- develop understanding of the use of a diagnostic tool to improve oral reading fluency;
- create the connections between Literacy and Numeracy and access to Pathways; and
- discuss implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) using High Impact Instructional Practices (HIIPs).
