D. Aubrey Moodie Award for Highest Academic Average, 2022-2023
The OCDSB would like to congratulate Xuan Pham as the top scholar in our district for the 2022-2023 school year.
For her remarkable achievement, she received the D.Aubrey Moodie Award, which is presented to graduating students with the highest academic average.
Xuan graduated from Cairine Wilson Secondary School, with a grade point average of 99.5%. She is currently studying Software Engineering at the University of Ottawa.
During a special presentation on Monday, OCDSB Director of Education Pino Buffone said, “I have it on good authority from Principal Andrew Murphy of Cairine Wilson Secondary School, that Xuan was a wonderful student. She supported younger students by tutoring them in math, she participated in food drives each year, and even helped develop and roll-out coding projects for grade 9 science classes all while achieving extraordinary marks in all of her classes. On behalf of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, congratulations on your amazing achievement. We wish you every success this year and beyond.”
