May 4-8 is Education Week in Ontario. This is an annual celebration of teaching excellence and student achievement.
While school is different these days, there remains much to celebrate, particularly the dedication of our staff and their commitment to student success.
We are dedicated to building a culture of caring across our school district. When COVID-19 dramatically altered the school year, our educators put this culture into action.
Teachers have been reaching out to students and parents to help. Staff have been joining together to sing, dance and find creative ways to spark joy and remind students they're still here. Behind the scenes, admin staff worked tirelessly to ensure learning could continue, despite a global pandemic keeping us apart.
These are difficult times to be sure, but we remain inspired and motivated by this steadfast commitment to learning. Not only will it help students to move forward, it can provide a source of stability through troubled waters.
Truly a culture of caring to be proud of. Thank you.
