On Sunday, August 27 the streets of downtown Ottawa were busy with music and celebration as thousands gathered for the Capital Pride Parade.
Leading the way once again was the big yellow school bus, accompanied by hundreds of OCDSB students, staff members, families, Trustees, and friends. The OCDSB was thrilled to have once again been asked to lead the parade and carry the giant parade pride flag.
With thousands of people in attendance and more than 230 floats participating in the parade, the Capital Pride Parade was an excellent reminder that we all have a role to play in standing up to homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, transmisogyny, and all forms of discrimination.
