On September 30th, OCDSB schools and offices marked the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. Together, students and staff had the opportunity to learn, reflect, and remember, while honouring survivors, their families, and their communities.
Schools came together virtually to watch an opening and closing by Monique Manatch, Traditional Knowledge Keeper, Algonquins of Barriere Lake, and a Land Acknowledgment by Director of Education Camille Williams-Taylor. Watch the videos below:
