School Climate Survey

School Climate Survey

As part of our ongoing efforts to create and maintain safe, inclusive and accepting schools, the OCDSB undertakes a School Climate Survey every two years to gather input from students, staff, and parents in each of our schools. The survey is required by the Ministry of Education as part of the Safe Schools initiative, and provides feedback to each school about the extent to which parents, students and staff feel their school supports learning and positive behaviour and promotes a safe and inclusive environment.

2023 Parent/Caregiver School Climate Survey

In March 2023, we will be conducting the OCDSB Parent/Caregiver School Climate Survey. This is a voluntary and anonymous online survey for parents, guardians, and caregivers of students in Kindergarten to Grade 12. The purpose of the survey is to give parents, guardians and caregivers an opportunity to provide feedback about their family’s and their child’s experiences with the school. Responses will help inform school improvement initiatives and enhance the teaching and learning environment. By participating in the survey, you can help us promote a safe and inclusive school environment for the students and  families we serve.

An Educator School Climate Survey will be conducted in April 2023.
