Education Foundation Ottawa - Toonie Tuesday, February 23

On February 23, 2021, the Education Foundation of Ottawa will be hosting their annual Toonie Tuesday event to raise critical funds for OCDSB families in need.

The Education Foundation of Ottawa is an independent charity in support of OCDSB students. The mission of the Education Foundation of Ottawa ensures that barriers are removed for children regardless of their personal or socio-economic circumstances. They do this by providing appropriate food, clothing, school supplies, healthcare supports, and access to opportunities for students.

Toonie Tuesday is an important fundraising event to support these efforts.

To celebrate Toonie Tuesday, February 23rd, the Foundation will be hosting a DJ Dance Party with Ottawa’s own, DJ Mace. More details to come.

In addition, here are some ways to make your commitment to helping:

  • Make a one-time or monthly donation to the Toonie Tuesday campaign online and receive your charitable tax receipt right away!
  • OCDSB staff Payroll deduction is the easiest way to give back since it comes right off your paycheque and counts toward your annual charitable giving. When logged into the OCDSB Network, click here to fill out your LaserFiche form that goes directly to Payroll – even if you start with contributing $2 (or more)/pay, you’d be making a difference!
  • Are you, or do you know, a business owner who would like to participate? Maybe they have an item where they could contribute $2 from every sale to the 2021 Toonie Tuesday Campaign! Introduce us by putting us in touch with them!
  • Parents/Guardians: You can donate easily through your School Cash Online Account or send your child to school with $2 (or more) anytime between now and Toonie Tuesday.

With over 7500 full-time staff and over 75,000 students, imagine what we could do if everyone gave $2 (or more) this Toonie Tuesday?
