International Day of Pink (April 14)

Wednesday, April 14th is the International Day of Pink. It is a day where communities across the country, and across the world, can unite in celebrating diversity and raising awareness to stop homophobia, transphobia, transmisogyny, and all forms of bullying.

The Day of Pink is a symbol that empowers and inspires youth to create amazing social change. Get your pink on and join us in celebrating being open minded, accepting differences and learning to respect each other.

We invite everyone in the OCDSB community to wear pink on April 14th as a symbol of a year-round commitment to raise awareness and call attention to anti-2SLGBTQ+ bullying and discrimination. Learn more about this initiative and ways to get involved in this Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity resource (PDF).

The OCDSB has a strong commitment to human rights, equity and inclusion. Our Indigenous, Equity and Human Rights Roadmap outlines the steps we are taking to address inequities in our systems, structures, policies and practices that continue to impact student and staff success and well-being.
