OCDSB to lower flags in honour of 215 children found in BC

The OCDSB will honour the lives of the 215 children whose bodies were found in a mass grave at a residential school in Kamloops, B.C. Effective Monday, May 31 to June 8, the flags will be lowered on all OCDSB schools and buildings. They will remain lowered for 215 hours in respect for each child who did not return home.

We commit to remember and ensure the sad legacy of Canada’s residential schools is not forgotten.
