COVID-19 Vaccination Information

Vaccination is a key measure to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect others who may be unable to get the shot.  

Everyone born in 2009 or earlier is currently eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

OCDSB Vaccination Information

Students: Vaccines are not mandatory for OCDSB students.

Staff: The OCDSB will require all staff  to receive a first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by September 30th and their second dose as soon as medically possible and available, unless they have an authorized exemption. Learn more about OCDSB staff vaccination data and mandatory vaccine strategy.

External individuals who regularly require access to OCDSB facilities

Individuals who regularly attend OCDSB schools or workplaces, and have regular contact with staff or students, are required to complete the COVID-19 Vaccination Attestation Form.  This includes:

  • Individuals on work placements as part of an educational program (e.g. teacher candidate practicums, child and youth worker placements, behavioural therapist work placements)
  • Volunteers (see below)
  • Professionals providing services to students at school
  • Third party contractors
  • Other frequent visitors

Note: Individuals who are not fully vaccinated, will be required to present proof of a recent (within 48 hours) negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test, and show a government-issued photo ID in order to gain entry to the site. 

Volunteers: All OCDSB volunteers will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Please note that at this time,the use of in-school volunteers is restricted.
