Brett Reynolds is the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board’s Associate Director of Education. He oversees school operations and leadership development and selection, and supports Director Pino Buffone in his role as Director of Education and Secretary to the Board.
Brett knew from an early age that he wanted to be a high school teacher, and even had many thoughts about how the role could be improved. He began his teaching career in the mid 1990s with the former Carleton Board of Education, eventually going on to serve as a department head, vice-principal, principal and system principal, and superintendent.
Brett says his experiences as a father of students within the system always guides him in his work as an educational leader. His biggest hope as Associate Director of Education is that he has contributed to creating a safe and welcoming organization, with a culture of high expectations of students and staff.
