Each year the Ministry of Education provides a template for school year calendars, which includes the placement of the winter break. The Ministry’s template for the 2022-2023 school year has included a winter break placement beginning Saturday December 17th, though school boards have the opportunity to create a modified school year calendar with an alternative placement of the winter break.
The School Year Calendar Consultative committee is seeking the input of staff, students, and parents and guardians regarding the placement of the winter break for the 2022-2023 school year.
