Transition Planning Information Sessions - 2023

OCDSB’s Transition Team in Learning Support Services (LSS) will be hosting a series of Parent/Caregiver virtual Question & Answer sessions in February 2023 and an in-person Transition Planning Fair on March 1, 2023 for students and parents/caregivers of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Q&A Sessions (virtual)

The virtual sessions will provide information and help answer your questions on supporting your child as they transition to a life beyond high school. Last year, the LSS  team hosted a workshop series around four main topics. This year families are invited to watch those recordings and then attend a live Question and Answer (Q&A) session.

Transition Planning Fair (in-person)
Date: Wednesday, March 1, 2023
Time: 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Venue: Confederation Education Center
(1645 Woodroffe Ave, Nepean, ON K2G 1W2)

Service providers and organizations within the Ottawa region will set up tables at the event. The event will have an opening presentation by OCDSB staff and then participants will have the opportunity to talk to the service providers about their programs. OCDSB staff will be on site to help guide families to connect with the type of services they need.
