About Paula 

Paula Hall is the Superintendent of People, Culture and Leadership at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. She oversees equitable recruitment, hiring, staffing and promotion processes, along with employee wellness, engagement, leadership and staff development and Occupational Health and Safety. She is also Co-Chair of the OCDSB’s Joint Health and Safety Committee.

Paula holds concurrent Bachelor of Arts and Education degrees from the University of New Brunswick and a Master of Public Administration from Queen’s University. She first joined the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board in 2010 as a Policy Analyst, having since held the roles of Strategic Business Analyst, Vice Principal, and Principal. Before joining the OCDSB, Paula served students as secondary teacher and department head at Anglophone East School District in Moncton, New Brunswick. 

Paula is responsible for the implementation of equitable recruitment, hiring, and promotion, and is passionate about ensuring that the students in our district can see themselves represented in the staff who serve them. She works collaboratively to implement the initiatives outlined in the OCDSB’s Indigenous, Equity and Human Rights Roadmap, including the Valuing Staff Voices Equity and Engagement Survey. She also supports the work that takes place within Human Resources and Occupational Health and Safety to support workplaces challenges across the District.
