Supporting future leaders that reflect our community
The OCDSB is fortunate to have students with a variety of backgrounds, identities and lived experiences. We want our leaders to reflect this diversity.
We recognize that some barriers continue to exist preventing some staff members from reaching leadership positions. We are committed to addressing these challenges in order to increase the diversity of staff across all employee groups and levels of leadership.
This work includes:
- Equitable recruitment, hiring and promotion training provided to principals, vice-principals, managers and supervisors.
- Identity-based data collection at recruitment and promotion stages, starting with principal/vice principal selection/promotion.
