School Earth Hour Challenge: March 21, 2025

Since it began in 2007, Earth Hour has become the world's largest grassroots movement in support of the environment. Each year, people all around the world take part in Earth Hour to raise awareness about climate change.
This year, OCDSB schools are encouraged to take part in the Earth Hour challenge on Friday, March 21 at 1:30-2:30 p.m. (times may vary depending on each school’s schedule). Schools can participate by turning off lights and other electronic devices that are not required for the hour in order to bring awareness to climate change.
If you’d like to take part in Earth Hour at home, turn off your lights on March 22nd from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
