Minister of Education appoints Supervisor

Minister of Education appoints Supervisor

On June 27, 2025, the Minister of Education placed the District under supervision. Last month the Minister of Education appointed PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as a financial investigator, who recently submitted their final report to the Minister of Education, recommending supervision. Under supervision, the power of trustees are vested in the Minister of Education who can then appoint a supervisor.  

A supervisor has been appointed, Robert Plamondon. His mandate is to restore public confidence and work with staff to develop and implement a plan to return the Board to a balanced financial position while protecting the best interest of students.
