Stittsville Public School Unwraps Generosity, Donates Big to Education Foundation of Ottawa

The spirit of giving was alive and well at Stittsville Public School, which saw the school community rally together to support the Education Foundation of Ottawa (EFO). Through two successful campaigns, ‘Toonie Tuesday’ and the innovative ‘Holiday Treasures’ event, the school proudly donated close to $5500 to the EFO.

For the ‘Holiday Treasures’ event, the school gymnasium was transformed into a large-scale marketplace, offering students the opportunity to purchase gifts for themselves, friends, and family. Volunteers wrapped the chosen items, adding a special touch to the occasion. The event proved to be a resounding success, helped by significant coordination and organization in the preceding weeks. Staff members and parent/caregiver volunteers played crucial roles in bringing the vision to life, while students actively participated by assisting their peers on the day.
